Howdy! I currently work with W Partnership, Inc., concurrent to finishing my Master of Architecture at the University of Houston, with a concentration in Sustainable Design. I am also a Texas A&M University former student, where I earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design with minors in Art and Architectural History, and Sustainable Architecture and Planning.
When did I know I wanted to be an architect? When I was in fifth grade, my dad brought me an old laptop with a home designing software. He didn't say much about it, and so I taught myself the whole program. That was my video game - creating large, complete houses, trying to puzzle out building codes and electrical plans based on the built-in "tips," applying materials, and the most basic rendering experimentation. Ever since then, it stuck. Kudos to my dad for whatever he saw in young me. So … I've known since I was 10.
I am originally from The Woodlands, Texas, where I had the opportunity to be involved in architecture as a freshman in high school. I learned both hand and computer drafting, and traveled to use these skills in regional and state level competitions. I was also very involved in art and dance throughout my early years, both of which I still enjoy very much.
It has always been a priority of mine to leave a noticeable and useful impact on the world through what I do. I believe that the best way for me to do this is to utilize my creativity and affinity for problem solving through the field of architecture.
